Water sample

Environmental testing

Regulatory requirements mandate that governments and companies maintain strict control over their water samples, which may include industrial wastewater, surface water, and groundwater. These samples require multiple analyses to determine the presence of various elements and contaminants.

To assist customers in this time-intensive process, Nucomat offers automated sample preparation solutions for quality control analysis.

Some Realizations

Automated aliquoting for Water Analysis

Specifically for environmental water testing, Nucomat has developed an advanced water aliquoting robot. This platform prepares incoming field samples for multiple analysis systems such as total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), total Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN), Dissolved / Total organic carbon (DOC/TOC), and Chemical oxygen demand (COD). In addition, the system also executes essential sample preparation steps, such as reagent addition, pH adjustment, mixing, capping, and decapping.

With a processing capacity of up to 300 source recipients per 24-hour period, the water aliquoting system generates an
average of 900 aliquots daily, significantly optimizing workflow and accuracy.

Automated control of industrial water

In a lot of industrial applications water is used to cool processes or to clean installations for example. It is very important to control the quality of the water before it can be reused or disposed. Depending on local regulations tests need to be performed on the sample.

This compact Nucomat system designed to make dilutions and measure the pH and conductivity of the samples is capable of assisting laboratories to perform industrial water quality control.
After dilution the samples are stored in a rack for further analysis, loaded on an autosampler connected to an ICP or AAS. Furthermore, integrating ICPs or AASs on the automated platform will give you an A to Z solution for your sample preparation and analysis.
