ROBIN real-time scheduler

Continuous automatic optimisation of workload and system performance

Nucomat’s proprietary ROBIN software is a state-of-the-art real-time event-driven scheduler that continuously monitors the robotic system and makes split-second decisions based on a combination of priority rules and available resources to run samples efficiently. Even complex combinations of multiple protocols, timings and sample batches are executed seamlessly.

The ROBIN web-based user interface provides a live view on the system’s actions at the control PC, and from your desk. Accelerated simulations allow to estimate system workload for any combination of samples and protocols, and provides a powerful tool for offline user training.

The intuitive method editor allows users to build, add, edit and manage their protocols. While the database architecture supports full audit trials. Audit trail options for GxP or other regulated environments are available.

Whether you are in quality assurance testing in chemical production, mining or environmental surveys, or you need to perform high throughput screening in biotech, drug discovery or product development, ROBIN’s flexible architecture will manage your automation system and deliver results to your requirements.

Simulation and training

Offline simulation provides a powerful environment for defining system concepts, estimating capacity, detecting bottlenecks, and evaluating the need for device duplication. It enables analysis of ramp-up and ramp-down behavior, automatic error generation, recovery strategies, sample handling, and deadlock prevention.

In addition, it serves as an effective platform for operator training — allowing users to practice system operation and management on a digital twin before working with real samples or hazardous materials in the laboratory.
