Compact Powder Dosing Unit

Nucomat, a laboratory automation specialist for several decades, presents a compact standardised unit for accurate powder dispensing with precision gravimetric control. The powder dosing unit is an autonomous small footprint floor mounted robotic setup that includes 4 parallel powder dosing devices automatically runs batches of input powder vials to dispense a known weight of powder sample into beakers, erlenmeyers or other lab recipients of choice. It takes care of a highly repetitive job even in 24/7 operation.

MODULARITY

SOFTWARE CONTROL

The platform is controlled by ROBIN, a real time event driven scheduling software developed by Nucomat. The user-friendly web interface allows the user to run samples, oversee the processes and get information and timely warnings on addition of fresh reagents. 

A web based user interface is provided with the unit to enable the operator to view the status of the device and to configure the operation to their needs.

Sample data can be validated online through the web interface and released for reporting, typically to a LIMS system. Input and reporting functionality is available with various file formats.

RECIPIENTS AND RACKS

Incoming powder samples are loaded in standardised disposable or reusable dispenser flasks. These come with caps to reduce the risk of the sample absorbing moisture from the environment air. Automatic de-capping and re-capping is included in the powder dosing station.

Outgoing samples can be dosed into a combination of Erlenmeyer flasks, beakers, tubes or even filter cups. Ask for your specific output vial requirements. Completed output samples are positioned on a removable tray for safe and easy retrieval.
